The USS Benevolent NX-199-C
Benevolent-class
4 years after the decommissioning of the USS Benevolent B, star fleet designers requested the chance to make a dedicated long range ship. not necessarily an explorer, but one that could be used for almost any sort of mission, and not need to report to a star base for Duterium, Anti-matter, or any other supplies. After consulting with the Star fleet Design Burro (SDB), they allowed the designers to christen the class, Benevolent.
five years later, the first ship was being constructed, Benevolent NX-199-C.
When launched in 2290, the Benevolent, under the command of Captain John Donoveer, participated with manny routine missions. it was often called in responce to border skirmishes with the klingons or cardassians, and regularly escourted older Constitution-class starships home from their final missions. the USS Legacy A was one such ships.
the captain was called to star fleet HQ for two weeks, and the first officer, Commander Sylvia Dethal took over the ship, currently delivering supplies to Drexia Minor. after completing the mission, they returned to earth to pick up the captain. there he informed the crew of their next mission.
still classified in Star fleet, the crew has been sworn to secrecy about anything concerning that mission. to this date, no one knows what happened, how the ship returned with 17 less crew members, why the entire crew had aged 6 months more than they should have, why 23 non-humans had returned with them.
after this mission, most of the crew was transfered around starfleet, and few remained aboard the starship. Commander Sylvia Dethal was promoted to Captain and took command of the ship for eight years, before retiring.
the ship was decommissioned in 2322.
