USS Enterprise reimagined by Itsomi USS Enterprise reimagined by Itsomi
ok, i was bored, and i had been watching some awsome buts of the star trek enterprise series on youtube. as soon as I've finished TNG, it'll be a tough choice between Enterprise and TOS.
anyway, the NX-01 enterprise is by someone called Crobin from wolfsshipyard. it seemed to have some JPG distoriton around it, but i fized a little of it.

anway, the lower ship is a half way vetween the Constitution-class enterprise, and the NX-01 enterprise. elongated nacells, larger shuttlebay, secondary hull, smaller saucer section, and two deflector dishes. why, who cares! because its cool!

note: after positng this to wolfsshipyard, someone edited it and returned with an even awsomer version. heres the thread

Since you're interested, here's a better view: [link]

I'm sure Matt Jeffries and Gene Roddenberry are turning in their graves (figuratively speaking for Gene's case, of course, since he was cremated).

yeah, someone on the forums just showed me that. i didnt even know that someone did that. now i feel upstaged.
wow, i jsut learnt something today, who the jeffries tube was named after. that woulda been cool.
"quick eveyrone, down the me tube!"
alot of his stuff that he is said to ahve said by wiki is cool, but i dont like the idea of the entire ship being flown via one console. thats been exploited way to many times in scifi, star trek and stargate most often.

Yeah, that doesn't look too good on the television screen; on TV it just screams "LOW BUDGET!!" In practical reality, though, it is really the best way to do things. I do like his idea of the hull being one big smooth piece with nothing on the outside of the ship; this makes the most sense too because it means the crew doesn't have to take potentially dangerous spacewalks to repair/maintain the stuff. Plus the ship just looks a lot nicer...like the original Constitution-class starship. :D

yeah, the technical things like enignes away from hull, and everything else in hull is good.

Exactly. That's one of the reasons that, to me, the original Enterprise looked more advanced than any of the others. People like to blast it and say that it looks cheap because it's all smooth and stuff, but they're just ignorant. Heck, the USS Voyager looks more primitive than Kirk's Enterprise, in my view...all that crap on the hull, cluttering it up...

voyager's jsut plain ugly. it has a face only a voy fan could love. like the galaxy-class.

...i cant believe i actualy like the galaxy-class now...

i think its cool how in an episode of enterprise, the USS Defiant (constitution class) randomly came in (havent seen the episode properly, they probably explain it fully) and it kicks the NX-01's ass.

Ugh yes...I don't know what they were thinking when they designed Voyager. The Galaxy's not much better, though...it's glittery and shiny but it's shaped VERY strangely!! :XD:

The episode is pretty cool, and I liked it because I actually got to see the first real Trek action since 1969. The Enterprise episode with the Constitution-class USS Defiant is a sequel of sorts to the TOS episode "The Tholian Web." In that episode, Kirk and Co. go to investigate a distress call from another Connie trapped in some sort of pan-dimensional anomaly, which happens to be in Tholian space. Long story short the Defiant is lost and never seen again.

In the Enterprise episode, they basically say that the Defiant fell through and entered the Mirror Universe of Archer's time. Since I really don't regard anything made past 1969 to be canon, I just say that it entered a totally alternate universe that has no parallel in our own....and kicks ass, of course. ;)

yeah...
very cool.
what about the next ST movie thats coming out? its gona be about how kirk gets command of the enterprise.
i really hope they dont try and redo the enterprise. but judging from ST: enterrpise, i doubt they would. if they did, there'd be hell to pay

well, there are a few good initial ent episodes in seasons 1 and 2, but you have to see season four no matter what, even if it does involve skipping, because it is extremely good for the series (almost kept it going)
